Yes, There Really is a Lovebird

Years ago, when I first started birding, I used to joke that I wanted to see a lovebird. People thought it was funny, partly because we were all pretty sure there was no such thing.

But it turns out there is. Years later I photographed this Rosey-Faced Lovebird on The Big Island of Hawaii. So, yes, there really is a lovebird.
