Meet Bill

After retiring from a life of building things that fly in space, I started taking a lot of nature walks, which led to bird watching, which led to bird photography. And I’ve always loved to travel. Now I’m a retired guy who travels with my companion Wanda and photographs birds. I’ve seen the world through the eyes of a scientist. Now I look at it through the lens of a birder.

People keep asking to see my bird photographs so I thought this website would be a good way to share them with family and friends. I also want to share more than bird photos. I want to share the stories behind them and the adventures I have traveling to far-off places to get those photographs. That’s why the web site is divided into two sections, “Places I’ve Birded” and “Birds I’ve Photographed.” Sometimes the places are as interesting as the birds!
