Alaska: Through the Lens of a Birder

In this, my first book, I’ve captured some of the fabulous birds I’ve been able to photograph during my travels to Alaska. But I also tried to capture the broader essence of Alaska as I’ve experienced to make it more than just a book of bird photographs. I hope you enjoy the stories of discovery and adventure in addition to magnificent birds.

Southeast Arizona: Through the Lens of a Birder

Southeast Arizona is North America’s hummingbird crossroads. Birds whose ranges extend north from Mexico mingle with species found across the American West, giving birders the chance to see more hummingbird species in just a few days than almost anywhere else in the United States. This book will showcase remarkable birds I’ve photographed and explore the Wild West history, food, monsoons, and curiosities that make southeast Arizona so special.

South Texas: Through the Lens of a Birder

I once asked a professional bird guide where and when the best birding in the country could be found. Without hesitation he said “South Texas in the winter.” After my first visit I understood exactly what he meant. This remarkable region offers an incredible diversity of birds and I look forward to returning to collect even more photographs, stories and adventures to share.
