Through the Lens of a Birder

Southeast Arizona is one of North America’s premier birding destinations. My father lived in Sierra Vista in Southeast Arizona for many years, giving me the opportunity to visit often. I’ve also traveled there with Alabama Audubon group for a week of birding, attended the Southeast Arizona birding festival, and will be returning for the Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Festival. Most people are surprised by the incredible diversity of birds found among the Sky Islands, desert canyons and grasslands.
