Wood Stork

Greensboro, Alabama

I’ve photographed Wood Storks standing in the wetlands, and I’ve photographed them nesting in colonies at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. But until the Black Belt Birding Festival, I had never managed to photograph one in flight. This one flew overhead just long enough for me to capture my first in-flight Wood Stork. It’s not my best Wood Stork photograph, but it completes the story.
