It wasn’t until I took this picture that I appreciated how beautiful this bird is. The white wing stripe and the crimson eye surrounded by a blue eye-ring really make this bird stand out. And of course, I can’t see a White-Winged Dove without thinking of Stevie Nicks’ Edge of Seventeen
