Glaucous-Winged Gull

Homer, Alaska

I had never heard of a Glaucous-Winged Gull before Alaska. But they gave me one of my favorite shots of the trip. The soft, overcast lighting put a slight halo effect around the two gulls above as they flew by, giving them an otherworldly look.
