Dickcissel

I photographed this dickcissel at the Black Belt Birding Festival hosted by Alabama Audubon in Greensboro, Alabama. I’d been trying photograph a dickcissel for years. They are notoriously shy and usually disappear into the brush before I can get a clear shot. Then this one decided to give me a nice profile showing the dickcissel’s classic black bib, yellow chest and the yellow eyebrow. Thank you Mr. Dickcissel!
