Great Horned Owl, Mirando City, Texas
As daylight faded we spotted this great horned owl in the distance. So another photographer and I began slowly zigzagging toward it. By avoiding walking directly at it, and not looking at it while we were walking, we hoped it wouldn’t see us as a threat and fly.
We stopped every few zigs and zags to get better shots as we got closer. Eventually we were rewarded with this photograph.
